Not seen in the pilot. In the Castle Guide it is an ancient impact chamber in the Deep beneath Torony Piros, visited by the Queen; later publications treat it as the spine of the Queen's ascension.
At war with Terrassia for a hundred years; staking peace on a royal wedding. Its consulate in Kormor Kirak has been broken open, ransacked, and its vault emptied of gold, with its Counsel Feeney murdered inside.
Alive at the final cut but under attack: Kiraline has appeared uninvited at his bedside in the Bastion Inn through a necromantic portal and gone full vampire to 'guarantee our trust is eternal'. Dying of a lung illness. Leading Albion's effort to rebuild the wedding theater.
Alive. Barron's accountant and investigator in Kormor Kirak, lodging at the Bastion Inn; has drafted the theater's construction schedule, fought a Necrotic Bulk, seen the princess become a leopard, and lost her calculator to Szeret. Chooses to stay.
Alive and immortal. In her castle bathtub, water red with gore, playing with Olivia's calculator; her lover the Gawky Model has just been killed by her mother. Has revealed herself to Olivia, Jack, and Eppy as a shapeshifter and, in leopard form, attacked Rozito at the Hallaset Fields trailhead.
Alive. Barron's guardian in Kormor Kirak, lodging at the Bastion Inn; has fought the Necrotic Bulk, been recognised for what he is by Eppy, and is sharing tea with her. 'I don't love it here.' 'You will.'
Alive. Exposed as a necromancer at the Hallaset Fields trailhead, where he murdered a carriage driver and three Red Guards and carved runes to raise a Necrotic Bulk; attacked and mauled by Szeret in leopard form; he survives the attack.
Alive. Owner and barkeep of the Bastion Inn in Kormor Kirak; has fought the Necrotic Bulk beside Jack and Olivia and is making tea for Jack.
Alive. Terrassian officer at the Terrassian Consulate in Kormor Kirak, partner with Barron in rebuilding the theater with Terrassian machinery; has admitted that his own automaton pursued Feeney into the Albion Consulate. Still owes Olivia a rematch.
Reigning. Has murdered the Gawky Model in a necromantic trellis, entered Barron's room at the Bastion Inn through a portal, and attacked him in full vampire form as the pilot cuts to black. The series document names her the true enemy.
Alive. Chief Accountant of the Albion Counting House in the capital; rid of Olivia Faren and holding the receipt she flagged, which he promised to look into personally.
Alive. Leads the construction crews rebuilding the Theater of Everlasting Peace under Albion and Terrassian decree, working around the clock with the promise of the queen's good graces.
Alive, humiliated, and mud-soaked at an Albion cavalry stable; last seen deflated by Jack Winbow's steely gaze.
