Albion
Status At war with Terrassia for a hundred years; staking peace on a royal wedding. Its consulate in Kormor Kirak has been broken open, ransacked, and its vault emptied of gold, with its Counsel Feeney murdered inside.
Albion is an industrial empire that believes itself chosen by God to rule the world. Its capital is a city of white marble government buildings ringed by armament factories, with Parliament House above Griffin Plaza and a Counting House full of uniformed accountants. For a century it has fought Terrassia to a standstill. In Kormor Kirak it holds a two-story consulate on the high street, sealed with the Griffin of Albion and counted as Albion territory, and a market quarter of machine oil and precision goods.

What the sources establishEstablished
- The seal of the Albion Empire is a griffin wielding two swords standing guard above a euro-style capital city; the same griffin stands as a grand statue in Griffin Plaza before Parliament House. pilot pp. 1, 3
- Albion believes itself exceptional and chosen by God to rule the world; for a hundred years this belief has been in conflict with rival claims, at a great cost of blood and treasure, and a generation of children has known only hardship and war. pilot pp. 2-3
- The capital is a cluster of white marble buildings ringed with armament factories belching black smoke; Members of Parliament wear uniforms that evoke Albion's martial ethos. pilot pp. 3-4
- Albion citizens swear an oath: 'By the grace of our Divine Emperor, I serve Albion. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In life everlasting.' A messenger boy uses the shorter 'By the emperor's grace, I serve.' pilot pp. 5, 8, 52; Campaign World Guide, 'The Albion Empire'
- The Counting House in the capital is a high-ceilinged room of uniformed accountants at comptometers, overseen from an office above by Chief Accountant Lord Wooster; orphans are raised in a state dormitory and levied to its service. pilot pp. 5-7
- Albion's Prince has proposed marriage to the Princess of Terrassia, its greatest enemy, and Foreign Minister Barron has staked the peace on the wedding, to be held on neutral ground in Kormor Kirak. pilot pp. 3, 15
- The front lines have not moved in years; Albion soldiers have a twenty percent chance of surviving their first day of combat, and the trenches of Gravinia are where the wounded come from. pilot pp. 6-7, 10
- Albion fields airships, military trains, and homing-pigeon posts carrying encrypted paper-strip messages in chest capsules, unlocked by signet ring. pilot pp. 2, 5, 9, 14
- The Albion Consulate in Kormor Kirak is a two-story building with a placard and seal by the door, a roof-deck pigeon coop, a bulletin board for the theater project, and a complex vault door set into the rear wall behind an official desk. pilot pp. 1-2, 25
- The consulate vault opens by placing the signet ring face-down in a port beside the lock and then spinning three combination dials before a timer runs out. pilot p. 26; Campaign World Guide, 'The Albion Consulate'
- The consulate is considered Albion territory; within its walls the Red Guards have no jurisdiction, which is why the ransacking after Feeney's death went unpoliced. pilot p. 25
- The vault held a robust deposit of gold to fund construction of the Theater of Everlasting Peace; it was emptied, and Feeney's body was left inside in a necromantic trellis. pilot pp. 26-27
- Barron's first diplomatic posting after military service was Kormor City, as General Counsel; Feeney was Albion's Counsel there at the time of the pilot. pilot pp. 15, 18, 23
- The Albion Quarter occupies the eastern side of the Kormor Kirak marketplace, organised with military precision, smelling of machine oil and fresh-cut wood, selling precision tools, military surplus, and mass-produced goods. City Locations Guide, 'The Albion Quarter'
Said, believed, or contradicted between sourcesRumored or disputed
- The City Locations Guide describes an 'Albion Embassy' as a four-story townhouse on Merchant's Height flying a gold double eagle on crimson, with an Ambassador's Office, a Cipher Room, and Imperial Guards in bearskins; the pilot and the Campaign World Guide describe a two-story Consulate under the Griffin seal. City Locations Guide, 'The Albion Embassy'; pilot pp. 1, 25
- The City Locations Guide makes Feeney a valet in his sixties and gives Lord Wooster a key to the Embassy Cipher Room in Kormor Kirak; in the pilot Feeney is Albion's Counsel in his thirties and Wooster never leaves the capital. City Locations Guide, 'Feeney'; pilot pp. 1, 6-8
- Barron's colleagues in Parliament fear the economic price of peace: what the factories will produce without a war. pilot p. 4
- Later publications refer to an Albion 'boy king' whose body Barron plans to possess; the pilot mentions only an Emperor and a Prince. Book Two, 'NPC Knowledge Cheat Sheet'; EC_GROUNDING_SHEET.md, section 5
- The Book Two profile gives the Albion oath as 'By his grace, I rise', which does not match the pilot's wording. Book Two, 'Character Profiles', Olivia Faren
